Because this will be a 3 year collection it will be recommended that no more than one major item per semester per class be
placed in the portfolio. Even at that the student would have 36 items in his portfolio.
Section
5) Student activity/COMMUNITY SERVICE section. Student will place photos/memories etc. of school activities. This could be

by the students.
Portfolio ManagementA portfolio video will be created. It will explain the following procedures.
1) In
2nd period each student will be given a notebook/binder (high quality). We will print out the name and have the
students place them in the side compartment. The 10th grade student will be allowed to decorate the cover in a
manner that displays their personality. When the student enters 12th grade the cover will be changed to display
a more professional look.
2)
The notebooks will be placed into the Portfolio Center located on the wall
of cabinets/lockers between rooms 205 and 206. Mr. Mendoza will maintain this area but all teachers will have total access
to the portfolios.
3)
The items listed in the first section above will be placed in the portfolio
as they naturally occur. Teachers will be encouraged to place at least one quality work sample per year per student. Each
individual teacher decides what/if/when the sample is placed in the portfolio. Materials Needed: 900 Containers/Notebooks w/4 dividers12 Large
