Boys Tennis Match vs. Eagle Rock
Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for a great effort
vs. Eagle Rock on Monday. Despite falling short of the victory, there were many positive signs of the team's progress,
as the team now prepares to open Marine League play next week versus Carson.
In singles, Daniel Gomez
produced several deuces & played very well in his debut at singles, taking on Eagle Rock's #2 player.
In
doubles, Ricardo Zaragoza & Ignacio Torres, Justin Garcia & Hernan Suarez, as well as Austin Macias & Victor Duran
combined to take 8 games from the Eagles in 3 very exciting matches.
In exhibition play, in their second
match of the day, Ricardo Zaragoza & Ignacio Torres as well as Justin Garcia & Hernan Suarez avenged their first losses
by producing identical 8-0 shutouts, while Alex Chun & Kwang Lee battled their opponents & took 5 games in a very
back-and-forth one-set match.
