Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team for a great effort vs. league leader, Carson,
on Wednesday. In singles, the Pilots did well to capture 3 games overall, against a seasoned Colts lineup. In
doubles, Elaine Gomez & Darla Romo were the story of the day, as they overcame a 2-5 deficit, winning 6 of the last 7
games to take their match, while Jazmine Andrade & Laia Freeman also did well in a match that was even closer than the
final score suggests. In JV/Exhibition action, the Pilots took 2 of 3 matches with Dahlia Castillo & Jazmin Cuevas
just missing out on the shutout, while Juana Gonzalez & Vanessa Nunez were impressive in their close victory. Great
job Pilots & good luck vs. Gardena on Friday!
