Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team for Friday's win over Rancho Dominguez. The Pilots not only won all 7 matches, but they also outscored the Lobos 56 games to only  17, including three 8-0 shutouts by: Lizeth Manzano in singles; as well as by both Elaine Gomez & Darla Romo and Jazmine Andrade & Laia Freeman in doubles. The  story of the day, however, was Juana Gomez.  The last time Gomez was in the singles lineup, she ended up on the short end of a marathon match that ended in a 22-point tie-break at Legacy. Things seemed headed that way again, as the score remained dead even after the first 10 games. This time, however, Gomez took control late, running off 3 games in a row to close out her match, helping to preserve the team's 7-0 shutout. In JV/exhibition action,  The Pilots swept all five matches including three 6–0 shut outs as well as a win by Garcia & Lagunas over their varsity opponents.  Great job Pilots, and good luck versus Carson next week!
