Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team for a great victory over rival, San Pedro, during Wednesday's league opener.  In doubles, the Pilots swept all 3 matches, outscoring the Pirates 24 games to only 3, with all 3 pairs: Jazmine Andrade & Laia Freeman, Juana Gomez & Lizeth Manzano, as well as Dahlia Castillo & Jazmin Cuevas all winning by identical 8-1 scores.  In singles, Darla Romo battled in a very back-and-forth match to finally come out on top in the end. Meanwhile, Elaine Gomez set the tone for the day at the #1 singles position, with a comprehensive 8-0 drubbing. In JV/Exhibition Action, the Pilots won all 5 contests which included three wins versus varsity opponents and three 6-0 shutouts, most notably by Juana Gonzalez & Vanessa Gomez who defeated their varsity oppoents. Great job Pilots & good luck vs. Rancho Dominguez on Friday!
