Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team who finished the non-league portion of the season
with an 8-2 record after Monday's 7-0 shutout of Jefferson. Not only did the Pilots win all 7 matches, but they outscored
the Democrats 42 games to only 5, including five 8-0 shutouts on the day. In doubles, all 3 pairs: Jazmine Andrade &
Laia Freeman, Dahlia Castillo & Jazmin Cuevas, as well as Emily Garcia & Evelyn Lagunas swept their matches 8-0.
In singles, Elaine Gomez did the same, while Stacey Negrete made her Varsity singles debut, winning 8-5, after trailing 0-3
early in the match for the dramatic win in the blazing heat. Great job Pilots & good luck as the team opens league
play on Wednesday vs. San Pedro.
