Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for a great showing during a tough tournament at West Torrance in the SCTA's Pete Brown 1^st Serve Tournament.  The tournament features close to 40 top Southern California schools competing at 3 different sites for this annual tournament.

The Lady Pilots drew JW North (Riverside), Simi Valley & West Torrance for their round-robin play.  The tournament gave the team the opportunity to mix-and-match different combinations of players at singles & doubles against some great competition, and a chance to identify the areas that the team needs to work on & improve while gaining valuable experience.

The star of the day was definitely Ingrid Escarrega who showed her grit as she battled 2 of her 3 opponents to a tie-break, while many other matches also featured close scores as well.

The day ended with a team outing to enjoy some more team-building/bonding time as they gorged themselves on Red Robin Gourmet Burgers.

Overall, the event was a great success in terms of the team's goals for the day & the season, as well as a great time of sisterhood!
