Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis team for their 6-1 over Leuzinger on Tuesday. In doubles, the Pilots took 2 of
the 3 matches, with Ingrid Escarrega & Lizeth Manzano pairing up for an 8-1 win. In Singles, 2 of th 3 matches actually
played were won rather easily by Elaine Gomez & Darla Romo, while Stephanie Salazar would provide the drama for the day.
After jumping out to a seemingly insurmountable lead, Salazar dropped several games in a row, to trail for the first time
at 6-7. She then forced a tie-break & collected herself in time to overcome the avalanche of frustration that had been
building, to close out the match 7-3 in the tie-break. In JV/Exhibition action Jazmine Andrade & Laia Freeman defeated
their varsity opponents, 6-2.
