Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for a great effort in Friday's match vs. South East
HS. In a highly anticipated rematch of the 2015 Quarterfinal Playoff Match, which saw the Banning dominate the South
East 22 - 7 1/2, the Pilots looked for a repeat. However, upon further review, it became clear that the previous
year's performance would not go unchallenged, as in 2015, the 7 head-to-head matches yielded only a 4-3 win in favor of the
Pilots. In singles, the Pilots split the 4 matches, including a dominant straight-sets win for Jonathan Guray, as well as
a pair of 6-0 shutout sets for Brayan Camacho in his 1st & 3rd sets. In doubles, the Jaguars stunned the Pilots
by sweeping all 3 matches, after the Pilots had taken 8 of 9 matches in 2015's round robin matchups. In JV/Exhibition
action, the Pilots took 3 of the 6 matches played including a great 8-0 shutout by Hugo De La Cruz & Gerardo Reyes. Great
job Pilots, and good luck vs. Centennial on Monday!
