Shorthanded Pilots Still Handle the Tigers in Season Opener...

Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for a great 5-2 win over Legacy in the team's season opener, despite missing 3 projected starters.  In doubles, the Pilots swept all 3 matches with Michael Gonzalez & JoseAngel Sotelo proving that they deserve the top spot, while Fernando Corona made the most of his career debut, teaming up with Omar Renteria for a dominant effort.  Finally, Hugo De La Cruz & Thomas Leos pulled out a close match for their varsity debut.  In singles, Jonathan Guray dominated his match while Brayan Camacho had to fight off 2 late-set deficits, reeling off 3 games in a row in each set to win in straight sets, despite a nagging ankle issue.  In JV/Exhibition play, the Pilots took 3 of 4 matches & played some good tennis. Great Job Pilots & Good Luck vs. Crenshaw on Friday!
