Congratulations to Alondra Gudino & Leslie Leon as well as Elaine Gomez & Stephanie
Salazar for a great showing during Saturday's Marine League Doubles Championships. In the 1st Round, Gomez & Salazar
played perhaps their best doubles of the season as they jumped out to an early leady & maintained the lead until late
in the match before falling against the eventual champs. After a default by Narbonne's pair granted Gudino & Leon
a walkover into the semifinals, these 2 Lady Pilots produced yet another epic match that did not get decided until yet another
tie-break, where the Pilots would see their tournament meet it's end, also versus the eventual champions from Carson. With
hopes of guaranteeing a spot in the CIF LA City Section Doubles Championships gone, as the winners of the tournament receive
automatic entry in the CIF tournament, the Pilots now turn their attention back to the team's fate, hoping for good news that
saw Banning in the pool of potential Division I playoff teams.
