Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team for completing the season sweep over San Pedro
on Thursday. In doubles, the Pilots took 2 of 3 matches rather easily with identical 8-3 scores. In singles, the Pilots
swept all 4 matches as they avengee a pair of losses in the two teams' first match-up of the season. Alondra Gudino once again
won, without any real controversy this time, while Elaine Gomez repeated her performance, overcoming a 2-4 deficit to win
6 of the last 7 games. Leslie Leon was the first to avenge her defeat, winning handily 8-4, while Stephanie Salazar
had to fight serious nerves & self-doubt to put an end to a seemingly unstoppable comeback attempt to close out her vengeance
match. In JV/Exhibition play, Ingrid Escarrega made her season debut while Vanessa Jaramillo & Evelyn Lagunas, as
well as Dahlia Castillo & Jazmin Cuevas, brought home a pair of wins that both seemed on the verge of being shutouts.
Great Job Pilots & Good Luck vs. Legacy on Monday!
