Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for extending their winning
streak over Carson with a 4-3 win on Monday. In singles, the
Pilots swept all 4 matches including a great effort by Chris Leon who overcame a 1-6 deficit in the 1st –set tie-break. In doubles, the Pilots dropped all 3 matches, but not before a great fight by Salvador Lara
& Omar Renteria who forced a 2nd set tie-break. Co-players of the
match, Michael Gonzalez & Gerardo Lopez exerted a tremendous effort to win the 1st-set in a tie-break after trailing 3-5 late in that set. They
continued to battle in the 2nd & 3rd sets before falling on a deuce-point that could have extended the match even further.
In JV/Exhibition play, the Pilots took all 4 matches, including the 2 that featured all JV players
on both sides of the net. Great job Pilots & good luck
