Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for a great effort in the quarterfinals of the CIF LA
City Section, Division II Team Playoffs. Facing off vs. the #2 Seed, Taft, the Pilots knew it would be a difficult challenge.
In singles, Marivi Angel, as well as Leslie Leon overcame 2 tough 1st sets, & pushed their opponents to the brink of a
3rd set before falling. While Elaine Gomez battled her heart out, knowing that the Pilots needed a singles win to stay alive,
and took 4 games in her match. In doubles, Reina Caballero & Alondra Gudino dominated their opponents in straight
sets, while Vianca Sebastian & Brenda Torres pulled out a very back-and-forth match in a tight 3rd set. Great
Job Pilots & congratulations on a great season The team's attention now turns to the 6 Lady Pilots who will play for the
Marine League Singles & Doubles Championships on Monday. Good Luck!
