Pilots Sweep Doubles, Advance to Quarterfinals...

Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for their tremendous victory over San Fernando in the 1st round of the CIF LA City Section Division II Team Playoffs.  The Pilots swept the 3 doubles matches, including a great 3-set win by Elaine Gomez & Paloma Granados that sealed the win for Banning.  In singles, the Pilots took 2 of the four matches, inlcuding an awesome comeback from Marivi Angel who also won in 3 sets after dropping the 1st set 1-6.  The Pilots now advance to the Quarterfinals where they will face off vs. the #2 Seed, Taft, who hails form the powerhouse West Valley League.  Great Job Pilots & Good Luck vs. Taft!
