On to the match... In singles, the Pilots won a
combined 11 games in 3 losses, while Leslie Leon avenged a 3-8 defeat from earlier in the season & pulled out an amazing
upset in a tie-break. In doubles, the Pilots played admirably in the 2 losses there, despite a controversial call at
6-7 40-30 late in the match for Caballero/Gudino, while Sara Barragan & Elizabeth Cano solidified themselves as a league
contender with a great win over the Gauchos' top pair. In JV/Exhibition action, the Pilots took another 2 matches by
Ochoa/Salazar, as well as by Garcia/Escarrega. Great jot Pilots & good luck to those who are chosen to represent
Banning in the Marine League Championships on Saturday.
