Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for a great effort vs. Gardena on Monday. In singles,
the Pilots took 3 of the 4 matches including an impressive 8-0 shutout by Sara Barragan, and a great victory by Leslie Leon,
who won 7 of the last 8 games after trailing 1-3 early in the match. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Cano avoided being forced
to have things decided in another tie-break, by breaking her opponent's serve in the 14th game in a very back-and-forth affair.
In JV/Exhibition play, Celeste Garcia & Stephanie Salazar played some great tennis, falling just short of a shutout, but
still winning in dominant fashion. Great job Pilots & good luck vs. Legacy High School on Thursday, in the team's
last non-conference game of the season.
