Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for a good effort on Wednesday vs. Carson. Overally
the Pilots managed to capture 12 games in the varsity matches, and another 10 in JV/Exhibition play. In singles, the
play of Marivi Angel & Leslie Leon was impressive, as the two battled in two very back-and-forth matches, despite the
final score not representing that fact. In doubles, Brenda Torres & Vianca Sebastian kept up their fight until the very
end, while Caballero & Serina Ochoa threatened to pull out the upset as they evenly traded games through the first 9.
In JV/Exhibition play, Milka Jimenez & Brenda Lomeli made their career debuts & actually played 2 matches on
the day, while 3 pairs managed to take 3 games each in their matches (J. Gomez/Manzano, Garcia/Salazar & Escarrega/E.
Gomez). Great Job Pilots & Good Luck vs. San Pedro on Friday!
