Congratulations to the Lady Pilots for their dominant victory over Washington on Thursday. After Monday's
match vs. San Pedro was re-scheduled due to heat, this became the new league opener. Although the match was played at
Banning, Washington was officially the Home Team, as they play their entire season on the road. In the actual match, not only did the Pilots win all 7 contests, but their produced the equivalent of a perfect
game in baseball, by completely shutting down the Generals and outscoring them 56 games to zero. In singles, returner
Serina Ochoa made her varsity debut a memorable one, producing an 8-0 shutout. In JV/Exhibition play, newcomer Ingrid
Escarrega made her career debut, as all of the JV squad defeated their varsity opponents, including two 8-0 shutouts
as well. Great Job Pilots & good luck vs. Rancho Dominguez
on Monday!
