Saturday's Alumni Day was a great success, with over 40 people in attendance, including 18 Alums, from as long ago as 1976.  The day began with players & Alumni meeting/introductions followed by a special celebration for birthday boy, Joshua Guray.  The main activity for the day was a double-elimination doubles tournament that, for the most part, paired a current player with a player from the Alumni group. Group winners advanced to the quarterfinals, as others battled for their second chance.  Making a surprise splash was the late entry pairing of Rubalcaba/Sanchez that advanced to the Semi-Finals, knocking out many other contenders along the way. The final ended up being a re-match of the quarterfinal match between Leon/Suarez vs. Camacho/Loy.  Due to the fact that Leon/Suarez won the quarterfinal match, Camacho/Loy had the difficult task of winning 2 in a row to take home the championship. After winning the 1^st rematch, what ensued was an epic battle filled with lots of shot-making and exciting points, with Camacho/Loy taking the title, after falling behind 2-4, and then taking the last 4 games in a row.

Thanks again to all those that attended, as well as to everyone who helped make the event a success including set-up and clean-up duties. The team enters the last week of round 1 of league play, facing two difficult foes: Carson & Gardena.  Great job & good luck Pilots!
