Congratulations to the boys tennis team for a great victory over Carson on Monday. The win marks
the 3rd consecutive victory over the Colts, after breaking a 9-game losing streak last year. In singles, Walter Camacho
played perhaps his best tennis of the season with a convincing straight-sets win, while Julian Frausto came back from a 2-5
deficit in the 1st set, winning 11 of the last 14 games to close it out. Finally, Joshua Guray also produced a great comeback
win after dropping the 1st set, outlasting his opponent in a draining 3-setter. In doubles, Chris Leon & Cristian
Talavera continued their winning ways, as did Kevin Lam & Juan Mijares. Meanwhile Isai Chun & JoeAnthony Rodriguez
were challenged for the 1st time this season, yet played their best when it mattered most to keep all the doubles teams undefeated
on the season. In JV/Exhibition play, the Pilots won 3 of 4, including an 8-0 shutout by Jonathan Guray & Julio
Sanchez. The win now sets up a showdown between two teams undefeated in league play, as the Pilots host Gardena on Wednesday.
