Match - CIF LA City Section Doubles Championships
Congratulations to the 4 members of
the Boys Tennis Team who played brilliantly versus two of the top doubles teams in the entire CIF Section who, coincidentally
were both from Palisades. The Pilots' top pair, Manuel Leon & Ryo Miralles, as well as our #2 squad, Isai Chun &
JoeAnthony Rodriguez stood tall amongst the very best in the CIF Section, before finally falling to the reigning city champions
from Palisades. Chun & Rodriguez started off strong versus the top seed in the entire tournament, building a 3-2 lead
in the 1st set, while Leon & Miralles come on strong late in the 2nd, fighting off 3 consecutive
match points at 4-5 in the 2nd set before falling in an extended tie-break to the 7th-ranked squad in
the city. Congratulations Pilots on a magnificent run, and an incredible season!
