Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for a great regular season. After finishing
8-4 overall, and 6-4 in league play, the Pilots earned a 3rd place finish. Additionally, the Pilots earned 5 spots in
the 3rd Annual Marine League Championships to be held on Saturday, April 27th at 8:00am. Featuring the top 8 singles
players, and the top 8 doubles squads in the league, this elite league tournament crowns its singles & doubles champions
with an automatic bid to the C.I.F. L.A. City Section Singles & Doubles Championships on the line. Making the 1st
ever appearances for any Pilots' players in the singles draw are Walter Camacho (#8 seed) & Jonathan Soria (#6 seed).
Camacho will face off vs. the #1 seed from Narbonne, while Soria takes on the #3 seed from San Pedro. In doubles, the
Pilots send 3 pairs with Chris Leon & Cristian Talavera (#6 seed) taking on Narbonne's top pair, and the #3 seed.
Isai Chun & JoeAnthony Rodriguez earned the #5 seed, and a re-match of a heart-breaking loss vs. Narbonne's 2nd pair(#4
seed). Finally, after going undefeated in league play at doubles, Manuel Leon & Ryo Miralles earned the top seed, and
will face off vs. the #8 seed from Gardena as they look to keep the doubles title at Banning after Danny Gomez & Miguel
Pila took the title in 2012.
