Re-Cap of 4/25/13 Boys Tennis Match - Banning vs. Gardena

Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for completing their 3^rd season series sweep of the year, after a dramatic 4-3 victory over Gardena on Thursday.  On a day that began with celebrations honoring the team's two Seniors, Ryo Miralles & Javier Gonzalez, on Senior Day, the team made sure that the season finale would be a memorable one.  In doubles, Isai Chun & JoeAnthony Rodriguez battled back-and-forth before pulling out a super-close 1^st set, and then cruised in the 2^nd for perhaps their best win of the season.  Chris Leon & Cristian Talavera once again found themselves down a set, before getting settled in & dominating the next two to set up the dramatic conclusion later in the day.  In singles, Manuel Leon played steady, winning in straight sets, while Walter Camacho once again had the fate of the team in his hands.  With the overall team score tied at 3-all, Camacho returned to the courts after splitting the 1^st two sets.  While pulling out the 2^nd set in the tie-break, his opponent was riding a wave of momentum after charging back from 2-5 to force that tie-break.   Camacho, however, would steal it back racing out to a 4-1 lead before the momentum shifted once again and the match was once again in doubt at 4-4 in the third.  With both teams cheering their teammates on, Camacho turned it up a notch, and finished the match with mismatched shoes for the dramatic win.  Great job Pilots & Good Luck to those selected to participate in the 3^rd Annual Marine League Championships on Saturday.
