Re-Cap of 4/24/13 Boys Tennis Match - Banning vs.
Carson
Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for completing their second season sweep
with a tremendous 5-2 victory over Carson on Wednesday. The win marks only the 3rd win for the team over
Carson in the past 20+ years, and is perhaps the first time ever that the Pilots sweep the season series vs. the Colts. It
also guarantees the Pilots another winning season, with only one match to go. In Singles, Manuel Leon & Jonathan
Soria cruised to victory while, for the 4th time this season, Walter Camacho from a 1st set deficit
to win yet another 3-set match. In Doubles, Isai Chun & JoeAnthony Rodriguez played a tight 2nd set,
while Kevin Lam & Juan Mijares dominated. Chris Leaon & Cristian Talavera clinched the team victory for the
Pilots, also winning easily. In JV/Exhibition action, Julian Frausto & Javier Gonzalez, as well as Rodrigo Chacon
& Josh Guray were victorious, while David Rubalcaba & Ramon Sanchez played to a 7-7 tie versus a mixed-level opponent.
Grat job Pilots & good luck in the team's season finale vs. Gardena on Senior Day!
