3/16/13 1st Serve Tournament

Re-Cap of 1^st Serve Tournament 3/16/13 at West Torrance HS

Held over the course of 2 weekends, at two different locations, the SCTA-sponsored Annual Pete Brown 1^st Serve Tournament features over 30 of Southern California's best teams. Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for their tremendous victory over Carpinteria in the 1^st round of group play in the tournament held at West Torrance HS. In singles, Isai Chun produced an 8-2 win, while both Manuel Leon & Ryo Miralles, as well as Chris Leon & Cristian Talavera won easily. Contributing to the win, were the 8 combined games won by JoeAnthony Rodriguez, Jonathan Soria, as well as Walter Camacho & Juan Mijares, as the Pilots edged the Warriors 32 games to 29. Additionally, the Pilots claimed 2 doubles victories, by Manuel Leon & Ryo Miralles, as well as Isai Chun & JoeAnthony Rodriguez, versus West Torrance, while the team also racked up a grand total of 70 games on the day.
