Re-Cap of 1st Serve Tournament 9/15/12 at West Torrance

Held over the course of 2 weekends, at two different locations, the SCTA-sponsored
Annual Pete Brown 1st Serve Tournament features over 30 of Southern California's best teams. Congratulations to
the Girls Tennis Team for a great effort throughout the day in the tournament held at West Torrance HS. In singles,
Natalie Martinez produced the only individual win of the day, with an 8-3 win over Godinez. Meanwhile, Sabrina Serrano
took 6 games from her opponent, as did Liesel Montañez & Renae Reyes, in the 1st of 2 times doing so.
Overall, although the Lady Pilots did not advance to either the championship or 3rd-place rounds, the team did
manage to accumulate a grand total of 48 games on the day. Great job Pilots, & Good Luck in the league opener vs.
Narbonne next Friday!
