Season Opener Cancelled. No Make-Up Date Expected UPDATE - Pilots Awarded Win...

According to the Athletic Director, Mr. Jimenez, Westchester's AD confirmed the scheduled match in the
morning. However, later in the early afternoon, the Assistant Athletic Director of the Comets called to inform the Pilots
that they had a scheduled league match vs. L.A.C.E.S. However, it seems that there was confusion, as L.A.C.E.S. played
a match vs. Gardena on Monday.

UPDATE According to the Athletics Office, due to the
fact that the mix-up was the fault of Westchester, Banning has been awarded a 7-0 FORFEIT victory. Although this is
certainly not how the Pilots would have liked to have this situation resolved, it seems that the decision has been made.
After a 5-2 victory over the Comets in 2012, the Pilots were looking to see whether or not they continued to measure
up against this Western League opponent. On the season, the Marine League was 2-2 vs. the Western League after victories
by Banning (Westchester) & San Pedro (University), and losses by Gardena (LACES) & Carson (Hamilton) during Non-League
play.
