C.I.F. L.A. City Section Doubles Championships Congratulations
to Liesel Montañez & Renae Reyes for a great effort during their 1st round match of the Doubles Championships at
the Balboa Tennis Center in Encino, CA vs. Granada Hills. Featuring many awesome points, and multiple deuce games, the
match was best summed up by the Head Coach of Granada Hills, who said, "These Banning Girls are too good to be playing
Granada Hills in the 1st round. They are clearly better than most of the other entries here, and I believe that both
of these squads are among the top 8 here today. Too bad they had to play each other so early in the draw." Their
opponents featured a 2011 All-City Selection and the pair from GH ended up reaching the quarterfinals this year, landing both
of them on the 2012 All-City team. Great Job Pilots & Good
