Re-Cap of 5-15-08 2^nd Round Matches –L.A. C.I.F. City Section – Individual Championships

Congratulations to Jacob Loy & Andres Suarez, as well as Rozairo Miralles & John Ngo of the Boys Tennis Team for an incredible effort during the L.A. C.I.F. City Section Doubles Championships yesterday in Encino.  Out of close to 200 doubles teams in the entire city, these two doubles pairings were among the top 32 in the city & only a few points away from making it to the top 16.

Jacob Loy & Andres Suarez took the first set off of Marshall, in a tough 3-set match that featured countless deuce games & some amazing rallies.  Despite falling short of the victory, Loy & Suarez represented the Pilots extremely well & played some really great tennis.

Rozairo Miralles & John Ngo had the toughest challenge of the day for the Pilots, facing the #6 team in the whole city, who had 1 of 2 partners that defeated Loy & his previous partner 6-3, 6-0 during the pre-season.  Unwilling to be intimidated, however, Miralles & Ngo played up to the level of their competition & really challenged their opponents to play their best tennis.  Despite also taking the loss, these two Pilots played with a lot of pride & in the process made us all proud of their effort.
