Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for the most impressive playoff win in Banning Tennis Playoff History.
Not only did the Pilots annihilate the Toilers, by winning 25 of the 26 matches, they also produced 8 shutout sets in the
process en route what may only be the team's 2nd appearance in the Quarterfinals, since at least 1976.
In Singles, Ryo Miralles led the way, sweeping all 4 of his matches, outscoring his opponents, 24 games to
only 1. Daniel Gomez & Miguel Pila also swept their matches, giving up only 11 games combined. Juan Gomez
also played quite well, winning 3 of his 4 matches.
In Doubles, #1 Doubles Manuel Leon & JoeAnthony
Rodriguez, as well as #2 Doubles, Oscar Renteria & Jonathan Soria mirrored each other's efforts with both pairs sweeping
all 3 of the Toilers' doubles squads by a combined 18 games to only 4. #3 Doubles, Alex Chun & Isai Chun, also swept
all 3 of their matches, including an impressive win over Manual Arts' #1 pair in a tight set.
