Re-Cap of End-of-Season Marine League Seeding Meeting

Congratulations to Juan Gomez & Ryo Miralles, Daniel Gomez & Miguel Pila, Manuel Leon & JoeAnthony Rodriguez, Oscar Renteria & Jonathan Soria, as well as Alex Chun & Isai Chun of the Boys Tennis Team for being selected to participate in the Marine League Doubles Championships tomorrow, here at Banning.  Out of over 25 pairs of doubles in the Marine League, only the top 8 are selected, with the Pilots garnering 5 of those 8 entries.

After an undefeated doubles campaign, which included an impressive straight-sets victory over Gardena's #1 doubles, Juan Gomez & Ryo Miralles captured the #1 seed.  Daniel Gomez & Miguel Pila, last year's #1 seed in the tournament, garnered the #3 seed after suffering their only regular season loss in 2 years vs. Gardena's #1 squad.  Manuel Leon & JoeAnthony Rodriguez, are the #4 seed after two impressive wins over Narbonne's #1 as well as Carson's #1.  Oscar Renteria & Jonathan Soria are set as the #6 seed with two standout victories over Narbonne & San Pedro. Finally, rounding out the group, Alex Chun & Isai Chun hold the #8 seed as a result of a head-to-head victory over Gardena's last candidate, as well as because of their remarkable 6-0, 6-0 shutout over Carson.
