Re-Cap of 3/8/12 Boys Tennis Match - Banning vs.
Westchester
Congratulations to the boys tennis team, who completed the non-league schedule
with a perfect 3-0 record, after yesterday's 5-2 win vs. Westchester.
In Doubles, Manuel Leon &
JoeAnthony Rodriguez, battled in a close 3-setter before finally faltering, while Oscar Renteria & Jonathan Soria, as
well as Alex & Isai Chun won easily in straight sets, outscoring their opponents 24 games to only 8.
In
Singles, Daniel Gomez fought valiantly in yet another 3-set match at the #1 singles spot, yet fell just short. Miguel
Pila & Ryo Miralles dominated once again, also winning in straight sets, with Miralles posting yet another 6-0 shutout
set. The story of the day, however, was Juan Gomez's amazing 3-set win, coming back from losing 1-6 in the 1st
set, to winning the match in the 3rd in an intense tie-break.
In JV Exhibition action, Kevin
Lam & Juan Mijares, as well as Rodrigo Chacon & Chris Leon all won easily, while Josh Guray & Walter Camacho came
back from a 4-0 deficit to win 8 games in a row. Julio Sanchez & Lance Mendoza also won their 1st match versus two
Varsity opponents.

Gardena!
