2/29/12 Boys Tennis Match - Banning vs. Contreras
Congratulations to the
Boys Tennis Team for their dominant 7-0 shutout victory over Contreras in yesterday's season opener. Not only did the
Pilots win all 7 matches, but they also outscored the Cobras 84 games to only 14.
In singles, Manuel Leon won easily, while Daniel Gomez, Miguel Pila and JoeAnthony Rodriguez all produced one 6-0 shutout
set apiece.
In doubles, the Chun-Reyes brothers, Alex
and Isai, also won easily, as did Oscar Renteria and Jonathan Soria, who was making his career debut with the team.
Meanwhile, Juan Gomez & Ryo Miralles produced the most dominant win of the day, with a "dozen donuts" 6-0, 6-0
shutout.
In JV/Exhibition action, almost the entire
lineup was made up of brand new players, new to the team. Kevin Lam & Juan Mijares, as well as Joshua Guray &
Walter Camacho produced victories, while David Rubalcaba & Christian Leon defeated their varsity opponents.

to Bell!
