Congratulations
to Melissa Garibay & Rebeca Rodriguez for a great effort during their quarterfinal match vs. a very talented duo from
Palisades, who was fresh off a runner-up finish in the team playoffs. Despite the loss, Garibay & Rodriguez
played well, taking 2 games in the match, & producing multiple deuces during a match that was much closer than the final
score suggests.
With the loss, Melissa & Becky missed out on a
spot in the semi-finals, as well as a spot on the All-City 1st Team, yet still managed an impressive run and a
spot on the All-City 2nd Team for the 2nd year in a row.
