Girls Tennis Match – Banning vs. Westchester
Congratulations to the Lady Pilots for a great effort in the team’s season opener vs. cross-league
rival, Westchester.
In singles, despite losing all four contests, the Pilots battled through some tough matches & managed to win 13
games, with Rebeca Rodriguez, Victoria Serrano & Brenda Angeles all taking 4 games in each of their matches.
In Doubles, Jackie Cabrera & Sandra Hernandez
fought hard in a very close match, yet fell in the end. Meanwhile, Luisa Martin & Angel Noriega, as
well as Lizbeth Medina & Jamie Vasquez displayed the doubles dominance that the Pilots have become known for, winning
8-4 in both matches.
In JV/Exhibition
action, Liesel Montañez & Renae Reyes won easily, while Jocelyn Cuevas teamed up with her regular varsity partner,
Sabrina Serrano to do the same.
