Re-Cap of 4/17/08 Match: Banning vs. Gardena
Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for another dominant
7-0 victory over Gardena on Thursday. Not only did the Pilots win every match in straight sets, but once
again outscored the Panthers by a huge margin, this time 61 games to only 14.
Special recognition goes out to singles players
Will Guzman & Ricardo Zaragoza (playing singles for the first time all season), as well as doubles players, Rozairo Miralles
& John Ngo who all produced perfect 6-0, 6-0 “dozen donuts” wins, while two other matches almost produced
the same result.
In exhibition play #1 Doubles Jesus Valladolid & Richard Cortez defeated the Panthers’ #1 &
#3 Varsity singles players, while Adrian Taboada made his season debut & played well despite suffering from a
stomach illness vs. varsity-level competition.
