of 10/12/11 Girls Tennis Match – Banning vs. Washington
Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for completing another season sweep,
this time over Washington, with Wednesday's 5-2 win. What made the win even more impressive was the fact
that the team was without 3 of its 10 regular starters; 2 of whom are on a trip in D.C. & the third who was out with an
illness.
In Singles, Jocelyn Cuevas won 8-5, while Sabrina Serrano avenged a tough loss to Washington, by winning in dominant
fashion at 8-2.
In Doubles, the
Pilots once again took all 3 matches with Luisa Martin & Jackie Cabrera, as well as Liesel Montanez & Renae Reyes
shutting out their opponents 8-0. Angel Noriega & Brenda Angeles were not far behind, winning 8-2.
In JV/Exhibiton Action, Andrea Cardenas &
Natalie Martinez managed to win one game versus varsity competition.
