Re-cap of 9/21/11 Girls Tennis Match – Banning vs. New Millennium

Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for another dominant effort vs. new Marine League foe, New Millennium.  Not only did the Pilots win all of yesterday’s matches, but overall, they outscored the Warriors 72 games to only 9.

In Singles, Luisa Martin & Angel Noriega both shutout their opponents 8-0, while Lizbeth Medina fell just short of doing the same, yet still won impressively, as did Jamie Vasquez.

In Doubles, Melissa Garibay & Rebeca Rodriguez continued their Marine League dominance winning 8-0, while Jocelyn Cuevas & Sabrina Serrano also had a shutout.  Meanwhile, Jackie Cabrera & Sandra Hernandez battled in a very back-and forth affair through the first 11 games, yet prevailed in the end.

In JV/Exhibition Action, Liesel Montañez & Renae Reyes continued the Pilots’ strong showing with a shutout of their own, while Brenda Angeles defeated her Varsity opponent by the same score.

Great job Pilots and good luck vs. Narbonne next week!
