Girls Tennis Match – Banning vs. San Pedro
Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for a dominant victory over Marine-League Rival: San
Pedro. Not only did the Pilots sweep all 7 matches, but they also outscored the Pirates, in all matches combined, 62 games
to only 13.
In Doubles, the Pilots
continued to dominate with three identical 8-0 shutouts from Rebeca Rodriguez & Melissa Garibay, Angel Noriega & Carmi
Lares, as well as Helly Duran & Jenny Castellon.
In Singles, the Pilots bounced back from getting swept by Narbonne to do the same to the Pirates.
Luisa Martin dominated in an 8-1 drubbing, while Jamie Vasquez & Lizbeth Medina also had impressive wins at 8-3
& 8-2 respectively. In the final match on court, pitting each team’s #1 players vs. each other,
Patty Ledesma trailed 1-3, before reeling off 7 of the last 9 games to complete the team shutout.
In JV/Exhibition action, Brenda Angeles & Jessica Ramos continued
their great play winning 6-2.
