Re-Cap of 4/6/10 Boys Tennis Match - Banning vs. Carson
Congratulations
to the Pilots Tennis Team for a tremendous effort vs. 5-time defending Marine League Champions, Carson, on Tuesday.
In an effort much improved compared the Pilots' league-opening match, this time around the Pilots managed to win a total of
41 games, including 2 matches overall.
In singles, Hernan Suarez hung tough, early on, while Alex Chun had the most
competitive match in the group, losing two very close sets. Daniel Gomez & Daniel Quinonez also played well despite their
very tough opponents.
In doubles, Justin Garcia & Ryo Miralles built an early lead in the 1st set,
before losing it closely & falling in straight sets. However, both the #2 & #3 doubles squads of Marcus Macias
& Joseph Mejia, as well as Kwang Lee & Miguel Pila, dominated their matches, outscoring their opponents by a combined
24 games to only 7.
In JV/Exhibition action, the Pilots won 2 of the 3 pure-JV matches, led by Kevin Reyes
& Juan Gomez, as well as Eric Mendez & Angel Amador.
Congratulations, once again & good luck to the
Pilots on Thursday vs. Gardena.
