Re-Cap of 3/22/10 Boys Tennis Match - Banning vs. Narbonne
Congratulations
to the Pilots Tennis Team for a great effort vs. Narbonne on Monday. Despite coming up short of the victory, the Pilots
managed to win a total of 25 games, versus a vastly improved Gauchos squad, which had no significant losses of players
from 2009.
In singles, Marcus Macias fought valiantly in the 1st set, forcing extra games, before finally
falling in the 2nd. Ryo Miralles also played well winning 4 games, while Justin Garcia & Hernan Suarez
also won several exciting points.
In doubles, Kwang Lee & Joseph Mejia, as well as Alex Chun & Daniel Gomez
all played together for the first time, managing to win 3 games each. The performance of the day, however, involved
Miguel Pila & Daniel Quinonez who played a very tough 3-set match which involved several deuce-games, seemingly throughout
the entire contest.
In JV/Exhibition action, the Pilots dominated winning 3 of the 4 matches, led by Kevin Reyes
& Eric Mendez, as well as Steve Chavez & Angel Amador who dominated their matches 8-1 & 8-2 respectively.
Robert Guerrero & Juan Gomez pulled out the close victory 8-7.

the Pilots vs. Carson upon returning from Spring Break.
