Re-Cap of 3/10/10 Boys Tennis Match - Banning vs. Manual Arts
Congratulations to the Pilots Tennis Team for their 6-1 victory over Manual Arts on Wednesday.
After a long delay in being allowed to enter the campus, the Pilots proceeded to defeat the Toilers for the 2nd
consecutive year, ending Non-League play with a 2-1 record.
In singles, the Pilots took 3 of the 4 matches as Justin Garcia, Ryo Miralles & Joseph Mejia all produced wins,
outscoring their opponents 24 games to 9.
In doubles,
Daniel Gomez & Miguel Pila won, while #1 doubles Alex Chun & Kwang Lee, as well as #3 doubles Eric Mendez & Kevin
Reyes dominated their matches allowing only 1 game each, while also producing the season's first shutouts. Combined,
the doubles squads were even more impressive, as they outscored the Toilers 24 games to only 5.
In JV/Exhibition action, Robert Guerrero & Juan Gomez played especially
impressive, as they took down their varsity opponents in an 8-1 romping, while Jonathan Arredondo teamed up with Justin Garcia
to face another pair of varsity opponents, leading 4-1 before the match was called due to darkness.

Serve Tournament next weekend.
