Re-cap of L.A. C.I.F. City Section Individual Doubles Championships -Round of 16

Congratulations to Sandra Medina & Kathy Ngo for a great performance in their Round of 16 match at the L.A. C.I.F. City Section Individual Doubles Championships. Despite coming up short of the win, Medina & Ngo played with a lot of heart and determination.  In the first set, they faced an early 1-3 deficit, before winning 5 of the last 6 games to take the 1^st set, setting up the dramatics of the next two sets.  In the 2^nd set, they also faced an early deficit, this time at 0-3, before splitting 3 of the last 6 games.  In the 3^rd set, it was another early deficit from which these two Lady Pilots continually fought against in a very back-and-forth match which included multiple deuce games throughout, including one game that had 12 deuces, before finally falling to their opponents from Van Nuys.

This is only the 2^nd time, in perhaps the last 15 years, that the Lady Pilots have advanced this deep into the tournament & we are especially proud of these two.  Great job Pilots & congratulations on the conclusion of a great season!
