Re-cap of L.A. C.I.F. City Section Individual Doubles Championships -Round 2

Congratulations to the Lady Pilots Tennis Team for some great performances during Monday's tournament action.  After a dominant straight-set victory on Friday vs. Kennedy, Vicky Martinez & Patty Ledesma faced off vs. the overall #2 seed and defending champions from Granada Hills, before being forced to retire due to an injury to Ledesma.

Sandra Medina & Kathy Ngo headed into the 2^nd round after receiving a 1^st round bye accorded to them as one of the overall top-8 seeds. In Monday's 2^nd round, they faced off against a pair of familiar opponents from Narbonne.  After Medina had previously teamed up with Vicky Martinez to defeat this same pair of Gauchos during the regular season, Medina & Ngo were confident that they'd also be able to conquer and move on.  They did just that, posting a dominant 6-0, 6-2 straight-set victory, propelling themselves into the Round of 16, in what is now becoming a regular occurrence for the Lady Pilots Tennis Team.
