Congratulations to the Pilots for a tremendous effort vs. San Pedro on Monday.  The Pilots played some gut-wrenching matches in a hostile environment, yet shined during a tough loss.

Once again sweeping the Dubles for the Pilots, Sandra Medina & Victoria Martinez, Melissa Garibay & Rebeca Rodriguez, as well as Jamie Vasquez & Lizbeth Medina, outscored their opponents 24 games to 7 overall, with Garibay & Rodriguez producing yet another shutout in the process.

In Singles, Luisa Martin & Dalilia Cornejo built early 4-2, & 4-1 leads respectively, before finally falling to their opponents.  Meanwhile, Patty Ledesma played perhaps the best tennis of her career battling back from a 5-7 deficit & took the next two games at love each, forcing a tie-break for all the marbles, as the overall team score was 3-3.  Fighting until the very end, Ledesma showed a tremendous amount of heart & passion, despite coming up short.

In JV/Exhibition action, Wendy Arreola & Helly Duran, Angel Noriega & Carmi Lares, as well as Cristine Nafarrete & Jenny Castellon all won their matches easily for a 3-0 JV/Exhibition win, outscoring their opponents 18 games to 6 overall.
