Congratulations to the Pilots for completing the season sweep over Gardena with another dominant 6-1 win vs. the Panthers on Thursday.

In Singles, Sandra Medina & Luisa Martin handled their matches easily, while Dalilia Cornejo was caught in a dogfight that was tied at 4-all after 8 games.  Cornejo found another gear & reeled off 4 straight games to close it out for the Pilots.

In Doubles Melissa Garibay & Rebeca Rodriguez also had no problems in their contest, while the two doubles squads of Kathy Ngo & Patty Ledesma, as well as Jamie Vasquez & Lizbeth Medina both shutout their opponents 8-0.

In JV/Exhibition action, Angel Noriega & Carmi Lares played rare JV/Exhibition singles matches, vs. Gardena's #4 & #2 Varsity singles players respectively.  Both played exceptionally, with Noriega actually defeating her varsity opponent.  That ended up being the theme of the JV/Exhibition play, as Areli Chun & Brenda Angeles as well as Cristine Nafarrete & Jenny Castellon, also defeated their varsity opponents in impressive fashion. Wendy Arreola & Helly Duran did the same in an exciting tie-break pulling out the upset in the end.
