Congratulations to the Pilots for a great effort vs. Narbonne on Thursday.  Despite coming up short of the win, there were several standout performances & individual victories on the day.

In Singles, the Pilots struggled vs. a tough Gaucho lineup, yet Kathy Ngo fought in a very back-and-forth match that included multiple deuce games, and outlasted all 6 other varsity matches on court.

In Doubles Vicky Martinez finally made her season debut, and teamed up with fellow veteran Sandra Medina in a convincing win.  Meanwhile, Jamie Vasquez & Lizbeth Medina, trailed their opponents the entire match, yet finally earned a break in the 14^th game to force the tie-break, in which they dominated 7-2 to win the match.

In JV/Exhibition action, Angel Noriega & Carmi Lares dominated their match, as did Brenda Angeles who paired with Varsity teammate Kathy Ngo with identical 6-1 wins.  Despite falling just barely short of winning their matches, Wendy Arreola & Helly Duran, as well as Cristine Narafarrete & Jenny Castellon played solidly in two very close ones themselves.
