Re-cap of 10/15 Match vs. Carson
Congratulations to
the Girls Tennis Team for another great effort during Monday’s match versus a tough Carson team. Although
the team took the loss, it was only their second one on the season, and there were still many bright spots for the Pilots.
#1 Singles
player Nancy Melgoza’s performance against one of the top players in the city was one of her best of the season &
included a variety of aces & other winners. Meanwhile, #4 Kathy Ngo may have set the record for deuces
in a game, with 9 deuces in the 8th game of her marathon match that was much closer than the final score suggested.
In Doubles action, #2 Doubles Veronica Trujillo
& Diana Alvarado took 2 games vs. the Colts in a well-played and very competitive match.
Junior Varsity/Exhibition
In Exhibition action, Graziel Nafarrete made
her season debut and partnered with Sandra Medina who played a good match as well.
