Re-cap of 10/4 Match vs. San Pedro
Congratulations to
the Girls Tennis Team for an amazing win during Thursday’s match versus San Pedro. The Pilots began
the match by comfortably sweeping the doubles matches by combined score of 24 games to 1.
It was then that the Pilots took
control of the match as #3 Singles Cristina Alvarado dominated her opponent from start to finish in an 8-1 rout, clinching
the match and ending the Pirates’ 5-game winning streak over Banning, and for only the second time in perhaps the past
15 years.
Special recognition also
goes out to #2 Doubles Veronica Trujillo & Melissa Hernandez, as well as #3 Doubles Norma Santamaria & Jasmin Jimenez
for their perfect 8-0 shutouts, as well as #1 Doubles Nancy Melgoza & Cinthya Monroy who had to “settle” for
the 8-1 win.

Varsity/Exhibition
In Exhibition action, Sandra Medina joined her Varsity teammates in producing a 6-0 shutout as well.
Meanwhile Victoria Martinez & Patty Ledesma played well in an uncompleted match versus San Pedro’s Varsity
players.
